Englander Fischer’s appellate attorneys work closely with the firm’s litigators to ensure that, even as the trial is proceeding, the stage is being set for a successful appeal if necessary. We defend favorable judgments secured by our litigators, as well as seek review of judgments adverse to our clients in both federal and state courts. We are also available to handle appeals for clients represented by other counsel in the trial courts.

Learn moreEstate Planning, Probate, and Trust and Probate Litigation
The areas of estate planning, probate administration, and trust and probate litigation are often interrelated. Regardless of your age or station in life, it is wise to have a plan and understand the potential pitfalls of the manner in which you own assets and how family relationships will need to be dealt with. Most clients are interested in avoiding the time and expense of probate administration. We can provide you with information to guide you toward that end. Whether or not a will exists, there are circumstances in which assets of the decedent cannot be transferred without an administration. If that is the case, you will want an attorney who can clearly explain the process and make it a smooth one for you. On occasion, a probate or trust administration will give rise to conflicts or disclose bad actors. In that case, you will want litigation representation by a firm that understands the red flags involved and is comfortable in the litigation arena.
